“The Airport”, a war novel by Serhiy Loyko, published in September 2015, has immediately become a bestseller. The author was obsessed by the novel all the time while he was at the Donetsk Airport with the “cyborgs” in October 2014. In 2015 he received one of the highest media awards in the U.S., — Overseas Press Club Bob Considine award “for bravery, authenticity, originality, profoundness and expressiveness”. It was not much later that Loyko was awarded the prestigious Los Angeles Times editorial award for “2014 best coverage”.
