Ella Fitzgerald`s Kiss

The book by Oleh Lysheha (1949—2014), a renowned Ukrainian poet, comprises his essays on creativity, on cutting torsos out of the hardest wood – (“perhaps a little softer than a word”).The second part of the book – America Emeralda consosts of translations of legends and myths of native Americans, Henry Thoreau`s diary, Robinson Jeffers` poems together with the essay and the poem written after Oleh Lysheha`s long-term residence in the U.S. mountaneous Lemont, PA. This is the poet`s last book he managed to prepress before his death. It`s title should have been either Ella Fitzgerald`s Kiss or America Emeralda.
