Volodymyr Rutkivsky (18.04.1937)

Volodymyr Rutkivsky is a leading Ukrainian children’s writer. He was born in the village of Khrestyteleve in Cherkasy region. He studied at the Odessa Polytechnic Institute.

Volodymyr Rutkivsky has been published since 1959. He is the author of many children’s novels, such as “Bukhtyk from a Quiet Backwater”, “The Guests on a Broomstick”, “Blue Waters” etc.

At the 70th year of his life, Volodymyr Rutkivsky’s book “The Squires of Cossack Shvayka” was published in “A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishers”, wonderfully illustrated by Maxym Palenko.
